THAI THEATRE SHOWCASE 2026: OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Sawasdee ka!

Thai Theatre Foundation invites Thai and Thai-American theatre artists based in the US to submit new works for Thai Theatre Showcase 2026, taking place November 14 and 15, 2026, in New York City. Now in its third edition, the Showcase champions visibility, artistic growth, and the celebration of Thai stories and community.

Two ways to participate:

  1. New Works (Staged Reading): Four new works will be selected for a full staged reading presentation during November 14–15, 2026. Selected projects receive a production grant of $1,000 to $3,000 based on the submitted budget plan. All collaborators must be paid no less than New York City minimum wage ($17.00/hour).

  2. Snippets Showcase: A curated evening of short excerpts featuring 8 shows (at least 5 minutes and not more than 8 minutes maximum each), closing the festival on November 15. Open to works at any stage of development, including completed pieces. Each selected show receives a $200 award.

What TTF Provides

Thai Theatre Foundation will provide the presentation venue, front of house, technical support, and marketing for all selected works. Selected teams are responsible for their own rehearsal space and team stipends, which should be reflected in the budget plan.
