In his new production Four Days in September (The Missing Comrade), he addresses the consequences of these disappearances. It is the story of a group of friends from which someone suddenly goes missing. And while the others ignore what has happened, ‘someone’ returns. Low Fat Art Fes ตั้งแต่ Vol.3 เป็นต้นมา เราเป็นเทศกาลศิลปะเล็กๆ ที่ราคาแพงมาก ถ้าใครไปเยี่ยมเทศกาลเราเมื่อเดือน ก.พ. 2019 จะเห็นว่าในเทศกาลจะมีแต่งานศิลปะชิ้นเล็กๆ production ไม่อลังการณ์เท่าไหร่ จะมีโชว์ใหญ่แค่ไม่เกิน 2 โชว์ แต่จริงๆ แล้ว ต้นทุนที่เราใช้จัดเทศกาลไม่ต่างจากเทศกาลใหญ่ๆ เลย
เพราะ 80% ของต้นทุนในการทำเทศกาล หมดไปกับการลงพื้นที่เป็นเวลาเกือบปีก่อนจัดเทศกาล เพื่อทำความเข้าใจชีวิต เรื่องราว ประวัติศาสตร์ การเมือง ความต้องการ ปัญหา และวัฒนธรรมของคนในพื้นที่ รวมไปถึงการสานสัมพันธ์ระหว่างทีมงานจัดเทศกาล ศิลปิน และชาวบ้านในพื้นที่ ในเทศกาลครั้งที่ผ่านมามีศิลปินต่างชาติ residency อยู่พื้นที่ถึง 2 เดือนเต็มเพื่อสร้างงาน
โดยงานศิลปะที่แสดงใน Low Fat Art Fes ตั้งแต่ Vol.3 เป็นต้นมาต้องมีความเชื่อมโยงกับชุมชนที่ตัวมันอยู่ 1 ใน 3 ข้อ ได้แก่ (1) พื้นที่ (2) วัสดุ (3) ผู้คน งานแสดงทุกชิ้นจะต้องได้รับความเห็นชอบทั้งในส่วนเนื้อหา และวิธีการแสดงจากเจ้าของพื้นที่ก่อน ถึงอย่างนั้นความขัดแย้งที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างตัวศิลปิน ตัวงานศิลปะ และเจ้าของพื้นที่ก็ยังเกิดขึ้นตลอดเวลา ซึ่งทีมงานต้องวิ่งเจรจาไกล่เกลี่ยเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ภายใต้กฎที่ว่า “ถ้าสิ่งใดเกินกว่าเส้นการเจรจา ชุนชนต้องมาก่อน ไม่เช่นนั้นเราจะเป็นคนทำให้วงการศิลปะเสื่อมเสีย”
ความท้าทายสูงสุดของเทศกาลเราก็คือ กระบวนการที่กินงบประมาณกว่า 80% ที่ว่ามา เรายังไม่สามารถหาทุนสนับสนุนจากหน่วยงานใดๆ ได้ เพราะเนื้องานของเราเป็นงานกระบวนการเพื่อพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ ไม่ใช่งานที่มีผลิตภัณฑ์เป็นชิ้น มีบทความวิชาการออกมา
ใน Low Fat Art Fes Vol.4 LAF - Loei Art Fes I LFAF4 ครั้งนี้ก็ไม่ต่างกัน เรายังทำงานกันเป็นปีเพื่อพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคนในพื้นที่กับเทศกาล ทั้งๆ ที่ก็ยังไม่สามารถหาทุนสนับสนุนได้จากหน่วยงานใดในประเทศ นอกจากเพื่อนๆ พี่ๆ น้องๆ ที่ศรัทธาสิ่งที่พวกเราทำจะช่วยกันลงขัน นอกจากนี้อุปสรรคครั้งนี้ยังใหญ่กว่าเดิมทั้งในเรื่องของการเดินทางไปสร้างเทศกาลที่จ.เลย ที่ไกลออกไปจากกรุงเทพฯ ผนวกกับเราเพิ่มกระบวนการให้มีคณะกรรมการที่ปรึกษาที่เป็นคนในท้องถิ่นควบคุมการจัดงาน พร้อมทั้งมีงานประเภท participatory ชวนคนในท้องถิ่นจับมือศิลปินเพื่อสร้างงานศิลปะด้วยกันอย่างเท่าเทียมกัน ทั้งในมิติของสังคม วัฒนธรรม และการพัฒนาเมือง

Open Call Description:
CEC ArtsLink invites artists from around the world (with the exception of St. Petersburg, Russia), to propose public art projects examining how contemporary art organizations engage, support and unite local communities. The 8th Art Prospect Festival will include twenty projects by artists from around the world, created in collaboration with local arts organizations, as well as an on-site Festival of public art at the Gaza Palace of Culture in St. Petersburg. All projects will be documented and publicized on the Art Prospect website (www.cecartslink.org) and social media platforms.
Proposed projects should be created in the artist’s city of residence and be displayed at a local cultural center. Projects should address the Festival theme, Forms of Unity, and explore questions related to mutual aid and coexistence: What exactly can I do to help others? How can my actions affect the people around me? How can I change the current situation, make it better? What is the role of the contemporary culture center in my home city? Public art works in all media and disciplines will be considered. Public art works can be displayed for up to one-month beginning with the Festival opening on September 23, 2021. Details about the application process can be found below.
Selected projects will be documented on the festival website www.artprospect.org and on the interactive map on the Art Prospect App. Participating artists should send photo and/or video documentation of their project no later than August 27, 2021.
During the Festival, artists will be invited to speak about their work in panel discussions, online interviews, and other virtual events.

Project applications must be sent to CEC ArtsLink at artprospect@cecartslink.org
by July 10, 2021.
Artists from around the world are welcome to apply to conduct projects at their local arts center. Projects taking place in St. Petersburg, Russia are not eligible for consideration.
The application must include the following materials:
Completed Application Form in word format
Photo Documentation (no more than 3 images in JPEG form, each no larger than 300 KB)
Name, location, and brief description of local cultural center hosting the public art project.
Artist CV (no more than 1 page, in either Word or PDF)
CEC ArtsLink will award a $300 honorarium to selected artists/collectives upon completion of their public art projects. CEC ArtsLink does not provide additional funding for the cost of materials, transportation or photo documentation.
Selected projects will be announced by July 20, 2021.

About the Festival
Art Prospect is an annual public art festival founded in 2012 by the nonprofit organization CEC ArtsLink. The Festival transforms familiar urban landscapes, filling streets, courtyards, parks, and other public spaces with contemporary art works. The Festival has featured work by more than 250 artists from 20 countries around the world and more than 30,000 people have attended its events in a variety of neighborhoods in St. Petersburg. The Art Prospect Festival has also taken place in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Tbilisi (Georgia) and Kyiv (Ukraine).
8th Art Prospect Festival: Forms of Unity
An invisible threat suddenly halted our habitual movements in March 2020, raising questions about mutual aid and coexistence as we adapted to life in the pandemic reality. As the last year has demonstrated, the challenges faced by humanity cannot be overcome in isolation; the individualism valued by the market economy does not meet the challenges of our time. As in other watershed moments, now is the time to unite, come together, listen to each other, demonstrate our concern, and protect those at risk.
What exactly can I do to help others? How can my actions affect the people around me? How can I change the current situation, make it better? How can I help others? Asking ourselves these questions, we come together and search for forms for coexistence, reciprocity, and caring for each other and our world to avoid its impending splitting.
The 8th Art Prospect Festival: Forms of Unity includes more than 30 interventions, installations, performances, and Augmented Reality installations at the Gaza Palace of Culture in St. Petersburg and 20 public art works by international artists at contemporary art centers around the world. Thirty artists and collectives from Russia, Finland, Korea, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States have been selected to create art works for the St. Petersburg Festival that reflect on forms of unity, both physical and emotional and respond to the unique history and architecture of the Gaza Palace of Culture and Kirovsky Region. Through these art works, artists aim to engage local residents and spark a dialogue about how our society can come together to improve our local environment and help those in need.
The Art Prospect Festival is supported by the Ivan Gaza Palace of Culture, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, Pro Helvetia Moscow, OCA, FRAME, Kettering Family Foundation, and the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.

But it doesn't stop our ambitious collaboration between artists around the world, art volunteers across the country, and citizen alliance networks of Loei province to gear forward our the 1st international contemporary art festival in Loei province, the mountainous land of spirits in the deep north of Thailand, LAF - Loei Art Fes I LFAF4 during 23 Jul - 1 Aug 2021

Due to situations of the pandemic that create uncertainty of both national economies and policies. We decided to open the festival for free access. The local audiences are able to visit the festival and to art activities onsite. And for the audiences from other provinces and abroad, we planned to provide the festival experiences online through the festival website and social media. It will become a hybrid festival; online/on-ground.

To make this dream possible, we are searching for helping hands from international to bring hope, to recreate social bonds, to be resilient in these dark hours.

1. The setup and de-install expenses for artworks we receive from both local and international artists.

2. Facilitation and mobilization of local volunteers who does the operation on the festival sites

3. Documenting and archiving all artworks and activities to exhibit online.

In this online talk, Julia Asperska will share her experience on international distribution in the arts. She will highlight what continues to excite her within the performing arts sector, as well as instances of disappointment and concern, in order to plot a personal (and practicable) course for transformation.

Julia Asperska is a producer, curator and art & culture manager. She completed the Master in Ethnolinguistics (2006) and a postgraduate course on art history and curation (2013) at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Her passion for the performing arts began with an internship at Brisbane Powerhouse (2008), followed by the Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw. For the past 10 years, she has been working on international distribution for management companies such as Key Performance (Stockholm) and Something Great (Berlin). She is currently working with Something Great where she coordinates a newly-founded project, the Something Great Collection.
Julia also works for a non–profit organization, PROAC (Uruguay, www.proac.uy) as artistic advisor, curator and manager of international relations.

#ComposeWithMe #Live ในครั้งนี้ เรามากับหัวข้อเรื่อง “ดนตรี ละครเวที มิวสิคัล” ซึ่งเป็นงานแสดง (Performance Art) ที่มีเสน่ห์เป็นอย่างยิ่ง ทั้งเป็นการควบรวมศาสตร์ที่กว้างขวางในศิลปะ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการร้อง การเต้น การแสดง การประพันธ์ดนตรี การออกแบบฉาก การวางไฟ การจัดการ และ เรื่องอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ซึ่งในรายการ Compose with Me แน่นอนว่าเราจะชวนคอมโพเซอร์ ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน และ ผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องมาร่วมพูดคุยกันในเรื่องของดนตรี และ การประพันธ์เพลง
เนื่องจากในครั้งนี้มีแขกมาร่วมพูดคุยจำนวนมากพอสมควรเลยได้รับเกียรติจากบุคคลสองท่านในวงการละครเวทีมาร่วมดำเนินรายการในครั้งนี้คือ อภิญญ์พร ชัยวานิชศิริ (Musical Theatre, Australian Institute of Music) และ ชวิน เต็มสิทธิโชค (Music Director, ฟอลคอนและนารายณ์ The Musical (2021)) และผู้ที่จะมาร่วมพูดคุยในครั้งนี้คือ สันติพัทธ์ สันติชัยอนันต์—ภาคภูมิ สาครเสถียร (Musical Theatre Artist, Fascinating Four, Co-Lyricist: 21 3/4, บุปผาราตรี เกือบจะมิวสิคัล), ปิยะชาติ ศรีเกิน (Composer, ผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง กลุ่มละคร Fahfun Production) และ ยศสรัล ทรงเกียรติกุล (Music Director, Conductor, Composer, Pianist)

ทีมครูสปาร์คได้รับเชิญส่งผลงานเข้าโชว์ใน Salon Performance ของ สตูดิโอการแสดงในนิวยอร์กที่ ชื่อ ลูซิดบอดี้เฮ้าส์ ใครสนใจสมัครได้ตามลิงค์นี้เลยนะคะ วันเวลา ในประเทศไทยคือวันที่ 12 มิ.ย เวลา 6โมงเช้า-8โมง
รายชื่อศิลปินเข้าร่วมโครงการ The Living Room by Dhepsiri Creative Space (ประมาณ 47++ ท่าน) ขอบคุณศิลปินทุกท่านที่สนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม หลังจากนี้จะมีการดึงเข้ากลุ่มปิด และส่งมอบบท "เรือกับรั้ว"ให้ทุกท่านได้อ่านกันก่อน แล้วเราจะพบกันผ่าน Zoom ในวันที่ 16 มิถุนายน เวลา 19.30 น. เพื่อแนะนะโครงการและอธิบายขั้นตอนการทำงานตามลำดับคะ สามารถพูดคุยซักถามได้ภายในวันดังกล่าว ทีมงานจะส่งลิงค์ให้อีกครั้ง
